The Capitalist Youth

The Capitalist Youth are playing at Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore this Thursday, the 27th. This show will be the first of a few we’re playing in Philly, Brooklyn, upstate NY and Michigan. It also marks the release of our album, At the Campfire. We’ll be sharing the bill with our friends / selves the Nate Graham Band and Gunsling Birds.

Banjo

I took time off from my “job” (who needs to work anyways, right?) to work on the album with Frank Wartinger and Eric Heveron-Smith. It’s almost done. It sounds good. There will be eleven songs. We even used the 4 track recorder for one song. IT’S SO CRAZY. Scott Hallam from Gunsling Birds helped out some, and so did Brian Heveron-Smith.

New recordings in the process. They will mostly be more polished versions of already recorded songs. I’m  excited about finishing this, because I feel like I’ll finally have something solid after all the time spent with these songs. Hopefully in the future the schedule of “actually doing something” will get stepped up. In the meantime, real life continues happening.
