Album yall

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

I took time off from my “job” (who needs to work anyways, right?) to work on the album with Frank Wartinger and Eric Heveron-Smith. It’s almost done. It sounds good. There will be eleven songs. We even used the 4 track recorder for one song. IT’S SO CRAZY. Scott Hallam from Gunsling Birds helped out some, and so did Brian Heveron-Smith.

New recordings in the process. They will mostly be more polished versions of already recorded songs. I’m  excited about finishing this, because I feel like I’ll finally have something solid after all the time spent with these songs. Hopefully in the future the schedule of “actually doing something” will get stepped up. In the meantime, real life continues happening.

New Song

Here is a new song. It’s not really a Capitalist Youth song exactly. This was originally recorded for, but wasn’t finished in time. They decide the title ahead of time, which kind of explains why it makes no sense. Listen to it here: States That Mate – “Robot Candidate”
