Everything I say is right

What if my posts were just my thoughts on a given subject? That would be consistent with the whole blog project, right? I was thinking the other day that limousines are stupid. (Don’t be jealous, we can’t all think on my level) At first I was thinking that if I was in charge I would outlaw limousines. But I took that thought back, because outlawing something isn’t going to change people’s attitudes, and more importantly, I imagine there might be some cases where the use of a limousine might be appropriate.

I had exactly the same problem when I wanted to say that it ought to be impossible to make money by selling products related to Christianity. This thought was aimed at Christian bookstores and some of the bullshit they sell, but upon closer inspection, it’s dumb. What about people selling Bibles, or scholarly books, or legitimate music? What makes a product legitimate to sell as “Christian” could be argued, but it seems conceivable that there would be such a product somewhere.

Everything I say is false as soon as I turn it into an assertion. Even that statement isn’t accurate. To be completely accurate I feel like I would have to get into details, and details of details. I have to explain the suppositions of my suppositions. What initially seems like solid philosophical ground falls away under my feet. And so the project of modernity fails. All I wanted was to denounce limousines.

P.S. I was being overzealous when I said all the tracks from the gorilla vs bear christmas mix were good. I always skip the waitresses song now when I listen to it.
