The gas station was at the indian reservation

Ok, this is kind of a weird (stupid?) thing to ask. If you haven’t talked to anyone all day, do you think the first person you talk to will notice anything unusual about you? What I mean is, does solitude change what a person is like, even if it’s 24 hours?

I was just thinking about it because I haven’t seen anyone all day, except for the guy at the gas station who liked my car’s paint job, and the cashier at the grocery store. And they were weird. Or was it I who was weird??

You should like the things I like

I think that Desaparecidos: Read Music / Speak Spanish is really articulate about what happens with a lot of people in the American middle class. I wonder sometimes how well known albums get that way. In my mind a good CD will just work its way to the top based on its merit. But then I realize that in the real world things like placement and money matter.

So I’m doing my part. If you haven’t listened to this you should. It’s a side project from Conor Oberst. (Bright Eyes) It came out in 2002.

I’m listening to Wilco

So I am starting this blog. The layout is still kind of dorky because it’s set on the default. Don’t worry though, it’ll get better. (I’m sure that’s the sort of thing you’ve been worrying about)

We had a twister party, and these are the pictures that came from it. We sang praise songs. I know this sounds like youth group, but it was more like ironic youth group.
